Figma alternative

The Figma alternative for idea to prototype, fast.

Figma is where pixel-perfect UI gets finished. Builderii is where it starts: describe the app, get linked wireframe screens and the flow behind them on one board, press Play, and watch people use it, with your team live and AI doing the first draft.

Works in your browser · No card · Free while it’s new

The Builderii editor: the component library, four linked phone screens of a planner app, and the inspector with fidelity, brand colour and theme fonts.

Why teams pick Builderii

Built for the part before the polish.

Prompt to linked screens

Describe an app or a website and the AI draws its screens in device frames, already linked, with a start screen, ready to play.

Flows next to screens

Flowcharts, mind maps, sitemaps and sticky notes sit beside the screens they describe. No second file, no second tool.

Low-fi, high-fi, Rendered

One switch (⇧W) moves every screen between a sketchy wireframe and your brand. Rendered redraws them as final designs with real photos.

Clickable prototypes

Link any element to a screen, choose click or hover and a transition, then press ⌘↵ to play.

Tests with real people

Share a test link and get tap heatmaps, time on each screen and where people stopped, without a separate testing tool.

Your brand from a URL

Paste your website: Builderii reads its colours, fonts and corner rounding and puts them on every high-fidelity screen.

Make it real

Turn a screen into a live HTML preview and a React and Tailwind component to hand to engineering.

Claude and ChatGPT

An MCP server with 37 tools lets your AI assistant draw and change boards for you, as you.

Switching

From a blank board to a prototype in minutes.

  1. Describe it

Type what you’re building on Home, or press / on any board and pick App screens. Choose Mobile or Web.

  2. Bring what you have

A screenshot of an existing screen becomes an editable wireframe. A pasted Figma link shows on the board as an embed.

  3. Invite the team

Share as editor, commenter or viewer, or turn on a link. Everyone works live on the same board.

  4. Press Play

Play the prototype, share a test link, or present your frames as slides with speaker notes.

Which to pick

Use both, or pick by the job.

Pick Builderii if…

  • You’re shaping an idea, not polishing pixels
  • You want flows, wireframes and the prototype in one place
  • PMs, founders and engineers edit too, not just designers
  • You want AI to draft the first version and change it on request
  • You want to test a flow with real people this afternoon

Pick Figma if…

  • You’re producing final, pixel-perfect UI
  • You run a design system with variants and shared libraries
  • Engineers inspect specs in Dev Mode
  • You need advanced interactions like Smart Animate
  • Plenty of teams do both: shape it in Builderii, finish it in Figma

Questions

Good questions.

Is Builderii a free Figma alternative?

Yes. Builderii is free while it’s new, with every feature on and 500 AI jobs a month per person. Viewers and commenters will always be free, and paid plans will publish their AI allowances.

Can Builderii replace Figma?

For early product work, such as user flows, wireframes, clickable prototypes and quick tests, yes. For final pixel-perfect UI, design systems and Dev Mode handoff, Figma is still the tool. Many teams use Builderii first and Figma after.

Can I bring my Figma designs into Builderii?

There’s no Figma file import. Paste a Figma link and it shows on the board as an embed, or give the AI bar a screenshot of a Figma screen and it becomes an editable wireframe.

Does Builderii have AI like Figma Make?

Builderii’s AI works on the canvas: linked app screens, flowcharts, mind maps and more from a prompt, edits in place when you ask, Rendered final designs styled after real apps, and HTML and React code for any screen.

Can my team work on a board together?

Yes. Everyone on a board sees live cursors and edits as they happen, can follow someone’s view, chat at their cursor and leave comments with @mentions that send a notification and an email. Invite people as editors, commenters or viewers, or share a link.

What do you want to build?

Start with a prompt, a template or a blank board. It’s free.
